How to use Cointelli's spreadsheet Template

Step 1.

Create a copy of our Google Sheets template

Step 2.

Enter your transaction details as shown in the sample image below.

  • Timestamp: Enter the transaction date and time in "mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss" format. The dates do not have to be in chronological order.

  • Type: Select a transaction type from the dropdown menu to categorize the transaction. If you enter a type that is not in the dropdown menu, it may result in an error. For buys, sells, and conversions, select "Trade". To categorize other incoming or outgoing transactions, please refer to the descriptions linked here.

  • Out Currency: The currency that left the exchange or platform

  • Out Quantity: The amount of currency that left the exchange or platform (exclude fees)

  • In Currency: The currency that came into the exchange or platform

  • In Quantity: The amount of currency that came into the exchange or platform (exclude fees)

  • Fee Currency* (optional): The currency used to pay fees

  • Fee Quantity* (optional): The amount paid in fees

  • Comments (optional): Description of the transaction

* If the exchange provides information on fees paid, please be sure to include Fee Currency and Fee Quantity.

Step 3.

Save this template as a .csv file:

File → Download → Comma-separated values (.csv, current sheet)

Step 4.

Return to the Cointelli website and upload the .csv file using the area labeled "STEP 3. Drop the updated template here or Browse".

Step 5.

Select the time zone of the timestamps on your transactions, then click "Import".
